Journey to the West, the mythological romance written by Wu Chengen, features one of the most iconic characters of the literuture: Sun Wukong, The Monkey King.
Inspiration for games, movies and characters, such as Son Goku of Dragon Ball, Wukong was the big reference for this personal project of 2020 year.
The background design is a direct reference to the animation Dragon Ball, and the character design and his pose were made bases upon one Kung Fu's Monkey Style.
